Jaclyn Tyler is a Senior Architect at Studio HIP responsible for guiding our projects through the design process and directing the production of technical drawings and specifications. She works closely with the production team identifying project challenges and finding creative solutions. At Studio HIP she is the Senior Project Manager for the New York City Playgrounds Program a unique partnership between the Trust for Public Land, New York Department of Environmental Protection and the School Construction Authority.
Jaclyn’s career has focused on creating innovative designs that integrate technology and green infrastructure strategies.
Prior to joining Studio HIP, Jaclyn established Tyler Architecture & Planning PLLC, after she honed her Architectural expertise working for three firms across the Hudson Valley since 1998. During Jaclyn’s tenure she gained an extensive knowledge and experience in multiple project types including but are not limited to the following: Churches, Retail, Corporate Aviation Facility, Multi- family and High-end residential. Jaclyn’s expertise has led to opportunities teaching continuing education classes and developing summer Architecture programs at Purchase College, SUNY.
Jaclyn’s involvement in the LEED Platinum Corporate Aviation Facility, while employed at Sullivan Architecture and attending The BAC, prompted her interest in sustainable design. Jaclyn’s commitment to implementing green building practices in all projects where practical and feasible led to her attaining her LEED certification. In addition, Jaclyn strives to works around today’s environmental impacts in order to provide resilient architecture/landscape architecture.
